A tale of love, evanescence, and evil, which does its utmost to entrap human souls.

It is the winter of 1837. The fates of two men become intertwined by their affection for the same woman. One of them, Alexander, is a poet. The other is a French Baron named George d'Anthes. The choices they make are complicated by the appearance of a sinister and mysterious stranger.
